We understand that the most important part of the process to fostering is in finding an appropriate match meaning the right carer for the right child, which ensures the placement is stable and provides the right environment for the child to thrive. Many of PCC’s own staff have years of fostering experience therefore have a wealth of knowledge and understanding about the challenges of the role.
Our 24-hour, seven days a week support means that our foster carers have someone they can call on, day and night, weekends, bank holidays, Christmas, Boxing and New Years Day, regular monthly meetings with your supervising social worker and advice and guidance from the team of staff who have extensive personal experience themselves as foster carers.
We also provide financial advice in terms of tax obligations and benefit entitlements to help you understand how things work. Anyone in your household will have free unlimited access to our tax helpline service. Once you become a foster carer for us you will automatically have be a member of FosterTalk. This entitles you to a whole list of benefits including free legal and accountancy advice. Counselling, medical advice line, educational online learning portal and great discounts on lifestyle services and products.
